Well, Saturday was an interesting day. E and I got a chance to attend the NHRA Carolinas Nationals at the zMax Dragway in Charlotte. I like drag racing, but I never before had the chance to attend an NHRA event. When we got to the track, the Top Fuel cars were just about to start qualifying. We quickly found out that they are extremely LOUD. Fortunately we decided to stop and pick up some ear plugs at the local CVS before we got to the track. We had to get those installed pretty quickly. One of the salesmen from work actually got the tickets for us and his company had an RV there right on the finish line. Once we found the RV and got a burger, E was fine. Later we went the through the pits (you know, the place that they fix the cars…) and actually got to see Morgan Lucas and get his autograph. Of course E was more interested in getting an inflatable Geico Gecko. Overall we had a great day. We even took a few pictures.
